World Tsunami Mystery: What Do We Know?
Tsunamis are one of the most powerful and terrifying natural phenomena that have ever existed. The emergence of large waves is usually caused by underwater seismic activity, such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions or landslides. Causes of Tsunamis

The Largest Known Tsunamis
One of the largest tsunamis on record was the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, which was caused by a magnitude 9.1-9.3 earthquake off the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. This tsunami resulted in more than 230,000 deaths in 14 countries. In addition, the tsunami caused by the eruption of Mount Krakatoa in 1883 is also famous, with waves reaching a height of 40 meters and causing the deaths of tens of thousands of people.
